Theme Sessions

Theme sessions are highly focused within one or two disciplines and should contain presentations following a single thread of inquiry. Examples include fluid flow in fractured reservoirs, landslide and/or subsidence hazards, experiential geosciences education, and many others.

Symposia

( link )

Symposia relate to an issue that is of broad interest to the geosciences community. A symposium is an ideal stimulus for dialog crossing disciplinary boundaries. For example, a symposium of papers addressing the regional geology of a defined area could incorporate aspects of tectonics, sedimentation, metamorphism, geochronology, and other facets of the geosciences. The objective is a holistic discussion of the evolution of that region. We encourage you to send us proposals for creative, thought-provoking, and integrative symposia.
